For PLA, the recommended temperature is 215-235 celsius and can print with or without a heated print bed. For ABS you want to use a slightly higher temperature (230-240 celsius) with a heated print bed. When you are printing a design with small details, it’s good practice to keep the temperature as low as possible. The part I am printing has an extremely coarse thread, 5 threads per inch with a 2 mm thread height. The thread face is at a 30 degree angle (15 degrees of overhang) I have printed external threads like this without issue and without support material before for various gardening tools (a flow straightener for example).
